"Wild, Honest, Handcraftet"
Dry Sparkling Cider
Österlen, Sweden

On the quiet coast of Österlen — where the sea rolls in slow, the light is pale and soft, and the air carries the scent of apple blossom and salt — we create something rare.
A cider that is stripped back to what matters: fruit, time, and nothing else.
Our cider is born from the landscape around us.
It's dry, bottle-fermented, and unapologetically wild — more like champagne than what most call cider.
No sugar. No tricks. Just pure, honest fermentation in every bottle.
Every sip carries the fingerprint of this place.
Of hand-picked apples, of wind through trees, of slow days and long shadows.
This is cider, the way it used to be — and the way it should be.

Beyond the hills, the Baltic breathes. This is where the wind shapes the trees—and the cider
OUR CIDER
Naked Cider is made in small batches, from whole apples and honest methods.
We wait for the right moment in autumn to pick our fruit — when sweetness and acidity are in perfect balance.
Then we let the apples rest a little longer, to deepen and round out their flavour.
After washing, we chop the apples finely and press them slowly to extract their juice.
The first fermentation happens in 30-liter vessels, using a cultured yeast with wild character — giving the cider its dry, clean profile with subtle complexity.
We rack the cider twice during fermentation to remove sediment and refine the taste.
Then we bottle it while still alive — letting a second, natural fermentation create bubbles inside the bottle, just like in méthode traditionelle sparkling wines.
The result is a cider with elegant dryness, natural sparkle and a touch of funk.
No filtering. No stabilisers. No shortcuts.
Just raw cider with a clean finish and a soul.

Verkaån. Cold as it gets. Clear as our cider
THE ORCHARD
We built our orchard from scratch on a windswept hillside that borders Verkaån — a gentle river that runs through the Österlen landscape.
The soil is stony and honest, the weather is tough but fair, and every tree has earned its place here.
Over the years, we've carefully chosen each variety for its flavour, acidity and texture.
The Swedish apples bring freshness and brightness, while the English cider varieties add bitter tannins and structure.
Together, they create a base with tension, depth, and a dry finish that lingers.
Our orchard isn't big — it's precise.
It's shaped by our hands and our seasons.
Each tree tells a story of where we are and how we grow.
Apple Varieties
Aroma, Röd Ingrid Marie, Bel de Booskop, Santana, Rubinola, Holstein Cox
Cider apples: Red Stoke, Dabinett
Some trees give perfume. Others give grip.
Together they give us cider that's more than just fruit — it's memory, weather, and wildness in a glass.

In May, the orchard bursts into bloom—each tree a promise of cider to come
PHILOSOPHY
We believe in honesty.
In making something real with our hands, from what grows around us.
We believe cider shouldn't be fast, flavoured or filtered into sameness.
Naked Cider is a rejection of shortcuts.
No concentrate. No additives. No false sweetness.
Just time, apples and fermentation — the old way, the raw way.
We don't chase consistency. We embrace variation.
Because nature doesn't repeat itself, and neither do we.
Each year is a new expression. Each bottle carries a different mood.
We make cider for people who want more than a drink.
For those who want to taste the landscape, feel the story, and know the hands behind the bottle.

Everywhere, traces of ancient farmers remain—stone fences now softened by moss, echoing a time when every field was shaped by hand
ABOUT US
Lisa & Kristian Gottliebsen — with sons
Lisa spent every childhood summer in Österlen — barefoot, sun-drenched, and free.
Swimming in the sea, picking wild strawberries, learning the quiet rhythm of this special corner of Sweden.
When we met, she brought me here.
What started as summer visits turned into a long love story — not just with each other, but with the land itself.
In 2017, we decided to plant roots — literally. Tree by tree, we built our orchard.
We started Naked Cider not as a business, but as an expression.
A way to share what we feel when we're here.
The calm, the wildness, the honesty of Österlen.
Today, we live in Copenhagen with our sons, but our weekends and summers are spent among apple trees and bottles.
This is our passion project — our way of slowing down and making something real.

Handmade and homegrown—each bottle filled by us, here at the orchard
